Abstract: This article treats properties and points of weaknesses of the statistical evaluation of micro credit. Particularly the object of this paper is to analyze the impact of the micro credit on the sector craft industry in Tunisia (area of Gafsa). This regional study relates to a sample of 244 individuals. Even if the statistical evaluation is not intended to replace the groups of joint responsibility or the subjective judgement for the agents of credit, its capacity to predict facilitates the evaluation of the risks of the candidates of micro credit. This article enumerates what the statistical evaluation can do and cannot make in the microfinance and gives the broad outline of the principal stages of a statistical project of evaluation.
