Abstract: Le présent rapport est le fruit d'un groupe de travail créé en avril 2005 au sein du CNC. Ce groupe de travail avait pour mission d'examiner de façon approfondie et critique le cadre conceptuel dont l' International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC), l'organisme international de normalisation comptable, s'était doté en 1989. Le rapport issu des travaux de ce groupe et rédigé par son président, Bernard Colasse, traite successivement de la fonction de ce cadre conceptuel, du modèle de gouvernance de l'entreprise sous-jacent, de la façon dont il envisage les qualités de l'information comptable, des principes comptables qu'il met en avant et, enfin, de la notion de capital qu'il retient.
