Abstract: Linked employer–employee administrative databases (LEED/LEE) represent one of the most important data innovations of recent decades, as they enable researchers to follow workers and firms simultaneously over long time horizons. This study first reviews the development of the Hungarian administrative data infrastructure and then presents the most recent Hungarian linked employer–employee dataset---the Linked Administrative Panel Dataset (Admin4)---in detail, with particular emphasis on its supplementary modules providing rich set of information.
