Abstract: "This report discusses current and future opportunities to evaluate effects of the general minimum wage on employment chances of refugees. For this purpose, the recent developments of refugees' immigration and labour market integration in Germany are summarized. It is then explored whether available datasets on refugees are suitable to evaluate minimum wage effects, considering different methodological approaches. We conclude that an evaluation of minimum wage effects on refugees can currently hardly be performed adequately." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
