Abstract: "Since 2002 the German IAB-establishment panel reports on agreements for equal opportunities for women and men in German firms. In 2008 still only 13 % of all German establishments with 10 and more employees have such agreements. Around a quarter of all employees working in these firms are covered by agreements aimed to improve equal opportunities. In this context firms offer help to find child care or keep contact during parental leave. Some companies also have special career programs for their high potential female staff."
