Abstract:
"The evaluation study of a pilot project entitled 'Activating the Unemployed, Supporting Labour Market Integration' of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) indicates that an increase in the number of caseworkers is effective in decreasing the duration of unemployment. In addition, it leads to an intensification of contact between caseworkers and the unemployed. The local employment agencies that participated were grouped into three categories according to the specific way the additional resources were used (orientated to job-seekers; orientated to employers; orientated on internal processes). Despite specific differences, each of the three categories was on average successful." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
