Abstract: "This IAB Brief Report presents the ranking of 258 german labour market regions as a basis for identifiying structurally weak regions that are eligible for regional State aid for the period 2014-2020. This ranking is based on four regional indicators. Two of them, the unemployment rate and the regional average wage, were calculated by the IAB and are presented in this paper as well. The ranking shows that some western german regions are more structurally weak than some regions in Eastern Germany." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
