Abstract:
"The internationally harmonised long-term unemployed rate is often used as an indicator for labour market exclusion. In a comparative perspective this indicator is, however, insufficient to determine the share of people who are at the margin of the labour market. The report provides an inventory of groups who are - according to national delineations - considered as far away from the labour market, and describes strategies to their integration in selected EU countries. The outcomes of these strategies are discussed in the light of current German proposals to combat persistent long-term unemployment." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
