Abstract:
"The supply of apprenticeships in the German apprenticeship market is heterogeneous: In some regions companies offer significantly more apprenticeships to young people than in others. The mobility of apprentices is, therefore, an important balancing mechanism. The authors examine the apprenticeship supply and the commuting behavior of the apprentices not only between regions but also depending on school leaving certificates and training occupations."
