Abstract:
"This study presents representative macroeconomic data on the number of hours on short-term working accounts in Germany. Across all economic sectors, there was a total number of 473 million hours booked on these accounts in the fourth quarter 2023, about 150 million hours more than in 2013. The importance of short-term working accounts has grown significantly over time, also shown by the increasing percentage of firms and administrations that utilize them."
