Abstract:
This document explains the technological behavior of the engineering industries in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. The authors focus on the individual history of each firm, variations determined by the market, macroeconomic forces such as prices, protection level, and rate change. It also contains a discussion of the competitive behavior of these firms internationally.
