Does stronger protection of intellectual property Stimulate innovation?

Abstract: This paper incorporates the idea that the protection of intellectual property rights may hinder the free flow of scientific knowledge from innovations in a standard endogenous growth model and finds that stronger protection of intellectual property rights may discourage innovation.
