Abstract:
Right from the rapid adoption of telemedicine worldwide due to the onset of COVID-19, telemedicine has remained in the limelight among researchers and practitioners alike. There are many studies done in the field that shows that telemedicine is advantageous over offline consultations in many aspects, especially with regard to patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to see the evolution of research in this field and find new avenues in the area of telemedicine which have not been explored yet. The study uses a bibliometric review using coword analysis to find the latest trends and possible areas of research that could be explored. Through the analysis of 1462 articles obtained from the Scopus database, various clusters in the field of telemedical research are identified and further research areas are proposed.
