Abstract: Working paper on the labour market of rural workers in West Bengal, India. Analyses household survey data indicating the extent of labour force participation, unemployment, and wages elasticity of labour supply, etc., particularly with regard to landless workers, and constitutes part of a WEP research project on rural area employment policy.
