Abstract:
Working paper presenting various methodologys for the analysis and definition of poverty - discusses level and composition of poverty, looks at analytical approaches relating to qualitative and inductive techniques as well as simulation and econometric models, considers the role of population data in poverty measurement, and proposes an improved model of the generation of poverty. Diagrams, graph, references and statistical tables.
