Abstract: Working paper examining the impact of choice of technology on employment creation, energy, balance of payments and income distribution with partic. Emphasis on the petroleum industry and textile industry in Korea R - applying a social accounting matrix, discusses imnplications, complementarity and substitution possibilities of energy and non-energy production functions for alternative means of production, and tests the hypothesis that labour intensive techniques are more energy-intensive.
