Abstract: Reviews problems and needs of a number of Thai urban-based micro and small enterprises (MSEs). Based upon a survey of MSEs in Bangkok and urban Phetchaburi, carried out during April-June 1999. Includes the text of ILO Recommendation concerning General Conditions to Stimulate Job Creation in small and Medium-sized Enterprises, 1998 (No. 189).
