Abstract: Based on an review of existing literature on the subject, the paper provides an interregional review of the trends in social dialogue, including the state of ratification and progress in application of relevant ILO Conventions as they affect education workers and systems, as well as the climate, legal guarantees and institutional mechanisms for effective information sharing, consultation and collective bargaining, the key components of social dialogue.
