Nepal: Request for an Extension of the Extended Credit Facility Arrangement-Press Release; and Staff Report

Abstract: The authorities of Nepal are requesting an extension of the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) arrangement to July 11, 2026. The ECF arrangement is currently due to expire on May 11, 2026. It was approved by the Executive Board on January 12, 2022 for the equivalent of SDR 282.42 million (180 percent of quota) for 38 months. A 10-month extension with rephasing of disbursements without additional access was approved by the Executive Board on May 1, 2023. A four-month extension without additional access was approved by the Executive Board on December 1, 2025.
