An Economic Analysis of the Rodale Conversion Project: Overview

Abstract: This research shows that the starting crop when shifting to an organic rotation can influence the returns. Row crops such as com and soybeans should be avoided until the rotation is established. If such crops have to be grown then fertility and pest management needs must be augmented.
