Abstract: The analysis of the determinants of the individual wage income can be transfered to the total domestic income from the point of view of the human capital. This paper analyzes the effects that a group of variables, relative to sociodemographic and labour attributes, exerts on the total income rate reached by the Comunidad Valenciana households, taking into account the different elements of the total income. Using an ordered logit model it makes a quantitative estimation of the influence of the characteristics on the chance of being situated in each one of the steps of the established total income scale. El análisis de los determinantes del ingreso salarial individual puede trasladarse a los ingresos totales del hogar dentro del enfoque de la teoría del capital humano. Este trabajo analiza los efectos que sobre el nivel de renta total alcanzado por los hogares en la Comunidad Valenciana ejerce un conjunto de variables relativas a características sociodemográficas y laborales, teniendo en cuenta los diversos componentes de la renta total. Utilizando un modelo logit ordenado se estima cuantitativamente la influencia del conjunto de características sobre la probabilidad de encontrarse en cada uno de los distintos tramos de la escala de renta total establecida.
