Abstract:
The objective of this study is to map and analyse fiscal responses to COVID-19 in Danida's priority countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The study analyses selected countries' fiscal fore-casts and budgets covering the past 3 years to estimate both actual changes and deviations from published planning documents. Hence, the study provides a relatively simple analysis of the potential impacts of a pandemic crisis, such as COVID-19, based on fiscal budget information.
