Abstract:
This research addresses the heterogeneity in actions of participants of economic framed field and laboratory experiments in order to identify different types of behavior in the use of the shared resource. A dynamic common pool resource experiment was conducted with both 84 farmers selected from different regions of the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico, and with 92 undergraduate students. A Bayesian finite mixture model is used to disentangle the classes of decision rules revealed by users. Different classes of decision rules are found between farms and students.
