No 1, Documentos de Coyuntura from Universidad de Antioquia, Departamento de Economía

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of coyuntural and macroeconomic Colombian policy for 2006, and the perspectives on the performance of the economy in 2007. The study highlights the good behavior of the national economy and it presents some elements that justify it; this good behavior is reflected in a rate of growth of the GDP of 6.8% in 2006, data that has not been registered in 28 years. Additionally, there are analized some problematics that actually face the Colombian economy, related with the monetarian, cambiarian and fiscal policy handling, the employment, the poverty and the inequality.
