Abstract:
A rapad extensión of the so called systemic paradigm has been produces in the last three decades. Niklas Luhmann, with his general theory of systems, is one of its leading representatives. His theory tries to explain the complex social phenomena and the modrn World society. Its is presented as an attempt to elaborate a big general theory of society with universal pretensions, a theory that looks for applicability in all social phenomena. One the these areas is the economy. This science finds in Luhmannian theory a new explanation of how it Works and how it should solve its problems. This article analyzes the economic subsystems to which. Luhmann assigns a priority value in ourr present society, since it has a higher incidence over the other social subsystems. To reach its goal the article begins with a general view of the most important components of the general theory of systems. In the second section, the economic subsystem is presented. As an exercise, in the third section a political problem is analyzed from the economic subsystem to see the working of a selfreferent and selfpoiesic system. Finally, some comments concerning the key features of Luhmann theory and other Basic aspects to be studied are made.
