Impact assessment of European funds in Andalusia 2007-2013. A CGE approach

Manuel Alejandro Cardenete and María del Carmen Delgado

Working Papers from Universidad Loyola Andalucía, Department of Economics

Abstract: Ever since the accession of Spain to the European Economic Community, Andalusia has been a recipient of European Funds. Hence, this paper proposes an analysis that will reveal the economic impact of the Funds received by the Autonomous Community of Andalusia during the period 2007-2013. A Computable General Equilibrium Model (CGE) will be used to do so, which will assess the effects on the main macroeconomic indicators in different simulation scenarios. The results will highlight the significant contribution made by European Funds to regional growth in the period analysed.
