Abstract:
Our purpose is to examine the factors of poverty in Burkina-Faso within a Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) framework. In the spirit of some theoretical and empirical recent works, the households are desagregated upon their respective dotations of economical and social capital. This view not only alows to identify and mesure their poverty situation but also evaluates their vulnerability in front of this poverty. The data used are those of the latest household survey done in Burkina Faso in 1994-1995 are integrated in a social acounting matrix. It's aims to be the database for a CGE model destinated to show the impact of macro-shocks on household's poverty in Burkina Faso.(Full text in French)
