Abstract:
American Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages have embraced the goals, objectives, and programs associated with welfare reform, but lack of jobs limits the success of tribal programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Welfare-to-Work (WtW).
