Abstract: The Chinese flooring industry is growing at a pace of more than 10% a year. Production of wood and laminated flooring in 2007 has been more than 360 million square meters a year, against 216 million in 2003. Chinese experts believe that in year 2010 they will produce 500 million square meters and that they will export 40% of this production, that is 200 million square meters, a quantity not too far from the American production and only second to the whole European production. No wood flooring industry in the world, or distributor, or user can ignore what is happening is China. If China will export 200 million square meters of wood flooring in 2010, this will influence in-depth the world flooring market. Data in the report include, among others, information on the used wood species, the produced types of flooring, the main sizes, overlays, channels of distribution of the finished product, perceived barriers, certification, problems related to the inspection of goods, etc. The report includes updated statistics as well as a list with about 70 of the main producers.
