Abstract: The contribution of foreign investment to economic growth is widely discussed in economic literature. The question of the relationship of foreign investment and economic growth has become important now because of the growing importance of foreign investment in the world economy. In this work, the different aspects of the impact of foreign investment on economic growth are investigated. In the first section there is a review of economic literature on the cause. In the second section, the empirical analysis is made to find out the relationship between the ratios of outward (inward) FDI to outward (inward) FPI and GDP per capita growth (and GDP per capita) to see how the structure of foreign investment influences GDP per capita (growth).
