Abstract: This paper forms part of an OECD project which addressed the issue of the structure and change in the distribution systems of seven OECD countries.The paper gives an overview of the distribution system in Sweden for the period 1970-88. Next, it addresses the question of the static and dynamic efficiency in the distribution sector, as well as its competitive structure.
