Abstract:
The paper provides a comprehensive assessment of commercial real estate market conditions. It assesses the scale and sources of commercial real estate financing, highlighting the role of bank loans and the expansion of non-bank funding. The report describes debt redemptions, sustainability challenges, and the deteriorating credit profile of property developers. It discusses financial stability risks from commercial real estate exposures and identifies challenges in risk assessment and macroprudential policies, offering policy recommendations to strengthen global financial resilience.
