No 259, OECD Environment Working Papers from OECD Publishing
Abstract:
This paper is part of an annual OECD update examining the effects of international regulations on the trade in plastic waste and scrap. The 2025 iteration presents updated insights by incorporating newly available data for 2023 and reviews recent developments in global trade patterns. The analysis delves into export and import behaviours among OECD Member Countries and their trade relationships with non-OECD Member Countries. Finally, it examines the potential role of enhanced regulatory measures in shaping these developments and impacting overall trade volumes.
