Subcontracting
Oecd
No 37, SIGMA Public Procurement Briefs from OECD Publishing
Abstract:
Subcontracting occurs when an economic operator that has been awarded a public contract entrusts another entity with the performance of part of the works or services that are the subject matter of that contract. This Brief examines the reasons for subcontracting, what the EU Directive says about subcontracting arrangements and subcontractors.
