Ambient Load and Human Dignity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Structural Stability Science (SSS) Briefing on Boundary, Load Displacement, and Institutional Responsibility

Abstract: This public-facing institutional briefing applies Structural Stability Science (SSS), Dimensional Human Field Theory (DHFT), the Structural Identification Method (SIM), and Load–Capacity–Boundary Mechanics (LCB) to a structural question raised by artificial intelligence and human dignity: when machine-mediated systems become more powerful, efficient, opaque, and difficult to contest, where does the Load go? The briefing identifies Ambient Load as non-decomposed Load remaining active as unresolved background demand under conditions of ambiguity, avoidance, unclear authority, unstable Boundary mediation, undefined terms, machine-mediated misclassification, or unlocated responsibility. It further identifies Load Displacement Through Ambiguity as a structural condition in which unresolved ambiguity transfers the burden of clarification, stabilization, correction, compliance, repair, or source preservation onto another actor or system layer. In the institutional context opened by Pope Leo XIV’s public teaching on artificial intelligence and the safeguarding of the human person, this briefing analyzes the convergence between a public moral-institutional concern and a structural-scientific classification problem. It does not provide legal, clinical, theological, compliance, technical AI, or engineering advice and does not authorize use of SSS, DHFT, SIM, LCB, Ambient Load, Structural Drift, or related source architecture for assessment, audit, certification, training, institutional deployment, machine use, implementation, or derivative method development.
