Abstract:
Recent discoveries suggest that a universal energy-suppression law may solve one of exoplanet science's persistent puzzles - why hot Jupiters like HD 209458b show significantly lower atmospheric mass loss than conventional models predict. This report explores how the 1/E² quantum suppression principle connects to atmospheric escape processes, potentially resolving discrepancies between theory and observation by providing a fundamental physical mechanism that naturally limits high-energy processes.
