Abstract:
Socioeconomic (SES) inequalities in health and mortality have become one of the most critical public policy challenges, both in developed and Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). While we've made significant progress in understanding the complex mechanisms linking SES and health, several diverging patterns of health/mortality inequality between developed countries and LMICs are not well understood. This study introduces a new framework to explain these trends.
