Assessment of the Competencies of a Technology Entrepreneur

Abstract:
The article focuses on the technological entrepreneurship competencies’ assessment, which called to reduce the risks of earlier stages venture investments. The article states that such assessment is unattainable out of the real business settings or out of the specially designed business games. The article outlines the techniques for creating such type of the games, including the requirements for the scenario and the digital footprint of the player. A set of competencies is presented, along with typical statistics on their prevalence among assessed candidates. The analysis draws on the experience of business games with digital footprints involving over 25,000 players.
