Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and motivation on employee performance. this type of research is quantitative research. a sample of 68 employees of the BPTPH of West Sumatra provincial, used saturated sampling. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that leadership styleaffect employee performanceand the motivation influences employee performance. The conclusion is that the better the leadership style and motivation, the better the employee's performance.
