Abstract: This research is motivated by the fact that work discipline is grounded by employee awareness and willingness, and motivation given by the leadership can improve employee performance at the Padang Pariaman District Education Office. The purpose of this study were (1) To determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Padang Pariaman District Education Office, (2) To determine the effect of work discipline on employee performance at the Padang Pariaman District Education Office. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research data collection technique used a questionnaire. The population in this study were employees of the Padang Pariaman District Education Office. The sample used is 50 employees by using the Saturated Sampling Technique, which is the sampling technique when all members of the population are sampled. Data analysis techniques using the instrument test consisting of validity and reliability tests, descriptive tests (TCR), classical assumption tests consisting of normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and multicollinearity tests, multiple linear regression analysis tests, hypothesis tests (t test). The conclusions of the results of this study are (1) Motivation has a t-count value greater than the t-table value, this can be interpreted that motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Padang Pariaman District Education Office, (2) Work discipline has a value t-count is greater than the value of t-table, this can be interpreted that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Padang Pariaman District Education Office.
