Abstract: The National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC), a Union Govt. Company set up under Section 8 of Companies Act 2013, is working to promote economic development of backward sections amongst the Minority Communities, preference being given to the occupational group and women. In order to provide the artisans with ongoing marketing platform, NMDFC has developed a catalogue of the products and contact details of the artisans assisted by it. The Crafts Catalogue encompasses finest & exquisite handmade craft products. As of now 252 products of various crafts such as Metal Art, Jewellery, Ceremic Pottery, Wood crafts, Leather Items, Jute crafts, Bamboo Products, Mats, Paper Machie, Handicrafts, Marble crafts, Footwear, Handlooms, Paintings have been included in this catalogue. The artisans covered in this catalogue belong to various States viz. Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Puducherry, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Jharkhand, Chandigarh and West Bengal. This catalogue would also help the buyers in sourcing the finest products directly without having to depend on intermediates.
