Abstract:
Computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling requires a workflow beyond equilibrium specification and solution: data preparation, calibration, model construction, diagnostics, experiments, and results handling. JCGE is an Apache-2.0-licensed Julia framework of focused, independently versioned packages. It provides data and calibration utilities, reusable CGE blocks, a shared execution specification, diagnostics, outputs, and reference models. Application packages compose these components while retaining their own data, closures, and economic assumptions. The runtime constructs JuMP models for nonlinear and mixed-complementarity formulations without prescribing a solver. A Model Context Protocol interface supports framework discovery and owner-registered workflows. This paper presents the architecture, quality controls, and reuse potential for independently developed CGE software.
