verdadecu: An R Package for the Analysis of Data from the Truth Commission in Ecuador

Abstract: verdadecu is an R package that provides access to data collected by the Truth Commission in Ecuador. It allows users to extract and analyze systematized information for human rights research. The package contains 16 datasets documenting human rights violations from 1984 to 2008, including victim characteristics, violation types, perpetrators, and geographic distribution.
