Abstract:
This paper aims to discuss the so-called Guano era from a financial analysis perspective. The target is set on the Dreyfus contract, as far as it meant a turning point in Peruvian's fiscal policy. The sad end of such story was the Pacific's war. As a conclusion, the relationship between Pierola —Minister of Treasury, first, and then Dictator” and Dreyfus Co. ”Peruvian Government's financial agents” looks like it had been conducted under a political target and not an economical one.
