Abstract:
This policy brief discusses the conceptual issues related to state’s role in implementing UNGPs in businesses, review the current state of human and labour rights practices under the UNGP framework in the RMG sector, analyse the role of the government agencies in enforcing UNGPs, and put forward a set of recommendations, based on the analysis, to ensure effective engagement of government agencies in enforcing the UNGPs.
