Abstract:
This ‘RMG Monitoring Brief’ is the second in a series of briefs published under the civil society monitoring initiative. The objective of this brief is to conduct a concise review of the progress made by the RMG Sustainability Council (RSC) in fulfilling its mandated responsibilities and to identify areas for improvement that can enhance its effectiveness in ensuring safety monitoring. RSC was set up to act as the national initiative that would implement the programme of the former Bangladesh Accord, now International Accord.
