Khondaker Golam Moazzem and Nishat Tasnim Anika

No 50, CPD Report from Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD)

Abstract: In a world grappling with the aftermath of the pandemic and geopolitical turmoil, Bangladesh is navigating through a critical phase in its economic trajectory. The Bangladesh Business Environment 2023 study, conducted by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in partnership with the World Economic Forum, examines the key challenges and opportunities shaping the nation’s business environment. Drawing insights from the Executive Opinion Survey 2023 and Rapid Assessment Survey 2023, the report evaluates Bangladesh’s performance in five essential pillars: growth, innovativeness, inclusiveness, sustainability, and resilience. It identifies factors hindering progress and highlights areas where strategic interventions can unlock transformative potential.
