Population and Development Research in the Philippines: A Survey

Alejandro N. Herrin

No WP 1980-03, Working Papers from Philippine Institute for Development Studies

Abstract: The content of this research paper has never been more timely since it comes at a time when concern has been expressed in the Philippines for a full integration of population policies and programs into the overall socioeconomic development strategy of the country. It provides the review of social science research on the relationship of Philippine population and development planning and the basis for formulating recommendations to guide future research on the topic.
