Lexicographic Group Choice Under Uncertainty

Jose Encarnacion

No 198209, UP School of Economics Discussion Papers from University of the Philippines School of Economics

Abstract: This paper proposes a solution to the problem of group decision under uncertainly when individuals have lexicographic preferences. The proposed solution satisfies four properties analogous to those that characterize the solution to the Nash bargaining problem, and if the set of feasible alternatives is fair in a certain sense, it is also the only solution that does so.
