Abstract:
In the midst of the economic and social situation experienced by the new coronavirus, inequality and poverty become more evident. Although in the last decade Colombia had improved the indicators, the reality before Covid-19 showed an increase in poverty and inequality in the country. This is more worrying given that the pandemic itself already generates devastating economic consequences in all world economies and societies. That is why, we must pay main attention to the way in which this new situation is presented to the poorest, given the incidence of poverty in them and thus raise the possibility of safety nets that allow them to get out of it and thus protect the non-poor from falling into poverty.
